The visit with Santa went much better than anticipated! Braxton was a little hesitant at first and it took a little coaxing to get him on Santa's lap. But the end result was great. We were able to get a couple of good shots as well as relay the "wish list" of candy canes, vegetables, white truck and yellow motorcycle. After our pictures, while we were deciding on which shots to go with Braxton loosened up a bit and tried to get with every other kid who had an appt and sit on Santa's lap AGAIN!! I really think it was the milk and cookies that did it for him:) All in all - a great visit with Santa.
A small peak into our crazy life. 2 kids, 2 full time working parents and the infamous Rev Bud Green!

Here comes Santa Claus..Here comes Santa Claus
We have our annual Santa picture scheduled this afternoon. In a way to prep Braxton and get him totally psyched we have been talking about it quite a bit. Here is how the conversation went yesterday afternoon on the way home from school:
Me: Hey Buddy, who are we going to go see tomorrow?
Braxton: Grandmomma
Me: No sweet pea, guess again.
Braxton: Santa Claus
Me: That's right and what are we going to do?
Braxton: sit in his lap and take a picture
Me: What are you going to tell him you want for Christmas?
Braxton: uuhhmm Candy Canes and Vegetables and a truck and motorcycle
Me: Really (I am thinking vegetables..sweet!)...you may need to be more specific about the truck and motorcycle
Braxton: A white truck and a yellow motorcycle
Me: anything else?
Braxton: he puts that chubby little finger to his cheek and says..hhmmm let me see..I can't member!
Where does he get this from??? Really - he makes me laugh everyday!
Wish us luck with Santa!
oh-yeah, we have also been using the Elf on a Shelf..wow..do they make an Easter Bunny, Cupid and something for the remaining holidays covering the rest of the year. I owe someone huge kudos!!

Movin' On Up....
To a big boy bed that is! How exciting is that?!? After weeks..wait, make that months of deciding what would be the best decision, should we go twin bed or full bed, bunk bed or trundle bed...we have done it!!! We opted for a twin sleigh bed with storage underneath that can be converted to a trundle. It's a good looking set and Braxton is extremely excited! What a great daddy Braxton has. 5 hours later the bed and dresser are assembled. Now it's time to determine where everything goes.
Our first night in the big boy bed! We read stories and then little B had 2nd thoughts on where he wanted to sleep..so, I brought out the crib mattress that he has been sleeping on and laid it right next to the BBB and gave him the option. Daddy just checked on him and he was in the new bed.
Keep your fingers crossed that the transition is smooth. Pictures to follow!

Fun Times at the Fair!
The Wiggle Worm
What's the next ride???
The Fun House with daddy!
Next was the Tug Boat....I think daddy had a harder time with this...tee hee!
Going Hog Wild!
The Fair is here!
I love the fair - always have...always will! I have to say I love it for different reasons now - Braxton! We had such a great time. You couldn't have asked for better weather. It was 74 and sunny all day. Braxton was such a joy to watch. We rode the Fire Truck, the Tug Boat, The Wiggle Worm, 4 Wheelers, The Hog Wild Motorcycles, The Carousel, The Olde Timey Wagons, Drove Dump Trucks and went through the Fun House. And of course, the fair is not a trip to the fair without a corn dog. The livestock wasn't as big of a hit as I thought it would be, matter of fact, Braxton wanted nothing to do with the horses. Which really surprised me considering he rode a pony 2 weeks ago. All in all we had a blast. It was the perfect family day!
PS - Braxton is just like his daddy. Note a few of the carousel shots, he is looking up figuring out how the whole carousel ride works....oh-boy! Watch Out!
Boo - Ha - Ha!!!
Braxton's best Spiderman Stance!
The Sweet witch is reading her potion to cast a spell on Spiderman! Did she say treat....how about a hug from Spiderman And we're off....the fun begins Trick or Treat or as Braxton said once or twice "Gimme candy!"
Winding down...what a night!
What a difference a year makes! Last year, we basically had to drag Braxton out of the house, went to MAYBE 10 houses and called it a night. This year - different story! An hour and a half later and we were still treking! His best bud Olivia (and Miss Karen & Mr. John) came over to help celebrate Trick or Treating. We piled Spiderman and the cute witch of Bayshore in the wagon and were off! The kids were super cute. They couldn't get to the top of the steps quick enough, ring the doorbell, say Trick or Treat (sometimes would do the whole speel) or a simple Happy Halloween, most of the time a Thank You and were racing to the next house. There were a few houses Braxton let himself in...literally! After scoring with the goods we went back and ordered pizza! The night was not only a success but a ton of fun!
Happy Boo Ha Ha Everybody.....as my sweet Braxton would say!

Fall is in the air...and I LOVE it!
We have had a great couple of past weekends! Grandmomma came to visit. She hasn't been up since Braxton's birthday in April, so we were really looking forward to it. Even though Saturday was rainy and cold all day we made the best of it. Grandmomma we had a great time and look forward to the next visit!!
Sunday was a ton of fun. We took Braxton to the Fall Festival at Poplar Grove. I believe we saw 1/2 of Gateway there:) Braxton jumped in jump castle after jump castle. He rock climbed and flew down the slides. He and daddy went on a train ride and my personal favorite was the pony ride.
The fun didn't stop there. Then we went to Aunt Kelly's house and had chili and carved pumpkins!
Here was Rev Bud Green hiding from Batman!

Braxton found a pair of Batman pajamas that Aunt Sue gave him - needless to say, he loved them. I especially like them with his flip flops!!!

We also got invited to the "boyz club" Halloween Party by Kim and Rylan. Thanks Kim - we had a blast!
